COMMUNITY NEWS
- ➤ The Hoover Fire Department teams with Rocky Ridge and North Shelby Fire Districts to support the Alabama National Guard's toy drive, Operation Toy Soldier, by collecting new, unwrapped toys for military families. Residents are asked to drop off donations at any of Hoover's 11 fire stations — monetary contributions accepted as well — with the final collection day coming on Dec. 18. ABC 33/40
EDUCATION NEWS
- ➤ After storm damage on Nov 25, Inglenook K-8 students will have two days of virtual learning next week and be bused to other schools — Pre-K students will attend the Martha Gaskins Early Learning Center, Kindergarten to second graders will go to Norwood Elementary, and grades three to eight will travel to Hudson K-8, with school officials saying these changes are temporary while repairs are planned.
