- ➤ Birmingham will host 16 weekend events from today through Sunday, featuring Glow Wild at the Zoo, Market Noel at the Finley Center and a UAB Blazers football game at Protective Stadium, with many shows, fundraisers and family-friendly activities scheduled throughout the region + adding extra festive cheer. - ➤ The City of Birmingham and One Roof will host the inaugural State of Homelessness: Redefining Community symposium on Dec. 1 at Regions Field at 1:00 p.m.—the event will bring together faith leaders, nonprofits, local businesses, civic partners and public-sector leaders to guide the city’s $1.5 million investment in housing and homelessness services. - ➤ Ronald McDonald House in Birmingham now has a new Family Life Center that offers emotional support, weekly activities and many resources for families during their stay.
