- ➤ B'Ham Chicken, the new stall owned by Young and Kookie Shin from The Standard, opened Friday, Oct. 24 at The Pizitz Food Hall for lunch and now serves fried chicken, chicken tenders, wings, and chicken sandwiches with sides like mac+cheese and cole slaw. - ➤ Birmingham City Council approved a $547,619 contract with Freshwater Land Trust to advance the Shades Creek Greenway project — linking the Irondale Furnace Trail with Flora Johnston Nature Preserve.
