- ➤ Roy Williams is nearly finished raising money to build a bronze bust honoring his brother, Major Dwayne Williams, a decorated Army Ranger who died at the Pentagon on 9/11. The bust will be dedicated on Memorial Day next year—Roy still needs $1,500 to reach the $12,000 goal. 6 WBRC News

- ➤ Birmingham will host its first ever country music festival as the Iron Hills Country Music Festival takes place the weekend of October 11-12 at Sloss Furnaces — organizers plan to feature both top country artists and ironsmith demonstrations on the historic site. - ➤ Former Jefferson County judge Teresa Pulliam, a respected lawyer who served on the bench for 18 years and led Redemption Earned, died on Friday at 67. She was known for her fair decisions—she is survived by her husband Max and a daughter. The Birmingham Times
- ➤ A $3 million federal disbursement for stormwater infrastructure in Alabama has faced delays leaving Vestavia Hills waiting for further direction from the EPA.
