- ➤ Birmingham Police are investigating a motorcycle crash that killed a 34-year-old man when his motorcycle collided + with a vehicle on Richard Arrington Jr. Blvd North near 44th Place North on Aug. 23 at 10:58 p.m. 6 WBRC News
- ➤ Adrian Sikweya Nyaberi, 20, has been charged with capital murder for killing Huffman High junior George Camarius Daniel, 16, on Saturday on Huffman Road — he also faces an attempted murder charge for wounding another teen. AL.com
- ➤ A 35-year-old man identified as Samy Alberta Estrada-Flores was fatally shot on the 4300 block of Pinson Valley Parkway in Birmingham early Friday morning and died at 12:23 a.m. on August 22 while police investigate his death as a homicide. ABC 33/40

- ➤ Ahkeem Lee, a mentor at UAB, leads a 10-year-old community choir that earned a Golden Buzzer on America’s Got Talent in July and will perform live on Sept. 9—10.
