- ➤ Birmingham Police are investigating a deadly shooting that took place on July 16th in East Birmingham where officers responded to a shot spotter notification around 11:30 p.m.—a man died at the scene and another sustained a non-life-threatening injury with no suspects in custody. ABC 33/40
- ➤ Authorities investigated two homicides that occurred overnight — one on 17th Street in Ensley and one around 11:30 p.m. on 84th Street North in East Lake — as police gathered more details. ABC 33/40

- ➤ Forge Breast Cancer Survivor Center will host its fifth annual Haute Pink Fashion Show at Red Mountain Theatre Arts Campus on Friday, Oct. 3 to honor those impacted by breast cancer. - ➤ A UAB study found that accidental overdoses from weight-loss injections increased from 2017 to 2022 — over 5,700 cases were reported mostly from patient dosing errors.
