- ➤ Atlantic Aviation has begun a $40 million redevelopment project at Birmingham-Shuttlesworth International Airport that will add a new executive FBO terminal, two hangars, a fuel farm, and extra ramp space. The project, scheduled for completion in early 2027, will include energy-saving features such as solar panels — a plan developed with close collaboration between airport and city leadership. AL.com

- ➤ Alumnus J. Frank Barefield Jr. pledged $35 million to allow UA to name its College of Arts and Sciences, which serves over 9,000 students in 80 programs.
