- ➤ Governor Ivey launched the 2026 Summer Reading Challenge to encourage students in kindergarten through eighth grade to read six books before August 1. The program aims to celebrate America's 250th birthday and asks students to submit a written reflection or drawing that shows what they learned about our nation's history. Yellowhammer News
