- ➤ Dutch Bros opened Birmingham-area's first coffee drive-thru in Alabaster today near Baptist Health Shelby Hospital. The new spot at 544 1st Street N is the first in the Birmingham-metro area and the eighth statewide, serving coffee classics and Dutch Faves. Bham Now
- ➤ Founder Wil Drake will reopen his original doughnut shop as Full Circle Doughnuts this month at 1726 28th Ave S in Homewood (near Dance Foundation, Little Professor, and Salice). The shop will serve doughnuts, burgers, shakes and breakfast daily at 7 a.m. Bham Now
- ➤ Alabama small businesses and private nonprofits (including faith-based groups) in six counties can apply for low-interest federal disaster loans after a drought that began Feb. 10. The SBA EIDL program offers loans up to $2 million with terms up to 30 years, and applications must be submitted by Dec. 23. ABC 33/40
