- ➤ Birmingham Police said the 12-year-old Ryan Stanley Jr. ran away Sunday at 4:30 p.m. in the 3500 block of 45th Street Southwest and his case is classified as critical because of his age, urging anyone with information to call. 6 WBRC News
- ➤ Birmingham Police are investigating a homicide from Sunday morning in the 200 block of 8th Court West — officials said more details will be released as the investigation continues. 6 WBRC News

- ➤ Cameron Rodgers-Johnson, a Hoover High graduate and award-winning composer, earned his BA in music from UAB with high distinguished honors and will walk in commencement Saturday, May 3.
