- ➤ In March, Sen. Tommy Tuberville received a $30,000 donation from VGW Luckyland Inc., an online gambling company aiming to shape Alabama’s gambling laws, as part of his fundraising for governor. His campaign has raised over $581,000 so far. AL.com
- ➤ USDA Secretary Brooke Rollins has designated 30 counties in Alabama as primary disaster areas due to severe drought—an announcement from Agriculture Commissioner Rick Pate—making farm operators eligible for emergency loans if they apply within eight months. ABC 33/40
