  • Firefighters responded to an apartment fire on Carson Road near Center Point on Saturday just before 6 p.m.—flames were seen coming from one unit and no injuries were reported amid heavy traffic delays.  WVTM 13
  • A family in Bessemer asked for answers after Terence Summers Jr. died in a crash on I-59 near Academy Drive on March 18 when a large sawmill blade fell from a truck—he died from injuries at a hospital—and they held a vigil Friday evening while urging anyone with details to contact police.  WVTM 13
  • Family and friends gathered with blue balloons at Faith Memorial Chapel parking lot Friday to honor beloved barber Terence Bernard Summers Jr, who died on March 18 when his car hit a large metal blade on I-59/20 near Academy Drive—while his family asks for help from anyone who saw the crash as police continue their investigation.  CBS 42

  • Local businesses near Legacy Arena saw a big surge in customers since Thursday as March Madness brought many fans to the area. Managers at spots like Eugene's Hot Chicken and Mugshots Bar and Grill increased staff and stock — they expect the boost to raise revenue similar to last year's gains.  ABC 33/40
