- ➤ Gas prices in Birmingham increased nearly 40 cents over the past week, reaching an average of $3.40 per gallon. Local stations range from $2.89 (the lowest) to $3.89 (the highest), while nearby areas also saw similar increases as reported by GasBuddy. ABC 33/40
