- ➤ Birmingham hosts 19 farmers markets offering fresh produce, artisan goods, and local crafts – some like Alabama Farmers Market on Finley Ave w are open daily and others, like Burnette Farms Market in Pelham, will debut on Thursday, March 12. - ➤ The Home For All pilot program will open 14 small pallet homes by early April behind Faith Chapel Care Center to support unhoused individuals with wraparound services & security. This initiative is backed by $2.4 million from the city to provide safe places, meals, and dignity to those who need it most. WBHM

- ➤ Five local autism organizations are launching an Autism Acceptance campaign in April with decorative mailbox bows and yard signs shown across neighborhoods. - ➤ A Bald Eagle was spotted last week on Valley Drive in Roebuck Springs when local naturalist Van Coffey captured its flight while crows harassed it (marking the first sighting since January 2024). Bham Now
GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ Center Point Parkway remains dangerously dark at night due to few streetlights and crosswalks, raising safety concerns after several pedestrian accidents (with over 50 roadway incidents since August 2022).
