- ➤ The Alabama Department of Commerce will showcase the state’s booming aerospace industry at the Singapore Airshow at Changi Exhibition Centre this week. - ➤ An investigation found that forever chemicals used in carpet manufacturing since the 1970s have polluted water sources in nearby Alabama communities. Affected towns are taking legal action and building reverse osmosis plants (a treatment process) to offer safer drinking water. AL.com
GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ Clay councilors and Mayor Jane Anderton debated whether $30,000 in city funds can be used for championship rings after the team's state win on Dec. 5 at Protective Stadium (the expense may violate state law).
