- ➤ TAKE Resource Center has purchased a seven-bedroom home to expand Gloria’s Safe Haven, its emergency shelter for trans people of color, in Birmingham. Eleven residents will move in on the 25th as the nonprofit begins offering additional life skills training. AL.com
