- ➤ Jefferson County Commission approved up to $320,000 in incentives for American Cast Iron Pipe Co. (ACIPCO)'s $793 million expansion of its Birmingham facility, which will add 80 full time jobs with $114,400 average wages and cut emissions by more than 90%. AL.com
- ➤ Hallmark Farms is set to become the Alabama Farm Center after receiving an $11 million AMLER grant to reclaim mine land and build facilities for livestock shows, rodeos, and educational programs (projected to yield a $2.2 billion economic impact and up to 850 jobs) in north Jefferson County.
