ASYO Fall Concert- Free Event

About this event

Free Event! The Alabama Symphony Youth Orchestra (ASYO) takes the stage with a youth orchestra program that pairs beloved favorites with something brand new. Audiences will hear the world première of Hoffmann’s Symphony No. 1, written especially for this youth orchestra concert. The program also includes the Prelude to Humperdinck’s Hansel und Gretel, “Les toreadors” from Bizet’s Carmen, and the fourth movement of Dvořák’s Symphony No. 9, “From the New World.” It’s a chance to watch Alabama’s next generation of musicians premiere new music and take on some of the best-loved works in the orchestral repertoire.
